He swam 1450 kilometres for 90 days: the length of Britain

London:  An adventurer has become the first person to swim the length of Britain after emerging from the chilly seas at the northeast tip of Scotland on Monday.
Sean Conway took 135 days to swim 900 miles (1,450 kilometres) up the west coast of Britain from Land's End, the southwest tip of England, to John O'Groats.
The Zimbabwe-born 32-year-old has spent 90 days in the sea since June 30, with the rest out of the water due to bad weather.
Conway thought the challenge would take two and a half months rather than four and a half.
Sporting a wetsuit and a bushy ginger beard, he was immediately sprayed with champagne after swimming into John O'Groats harbour and walking ashore.
I found out that no-one had done it before and that just inspired a bit of imagination in me," he told BBC television.
"The water was very cold.
"The toughest part was getting stung in the face by jellyfish. I've had to grow a ridiculous beard to help me.
Dealing with the cold water, I get seasick as well a lot, so a lot of drinking salt water wasn't fun."
Conway had previously cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats in 2008. Last year he cycled round the world.

First look at Scott Adkins’ ‘Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear’

THE MOVIE: Scott Adkins returns as Casey Bowman, a Ninjitsu master out to avenge the death of his wife in director Isaac Florentine’s follow-up to his 2009 film Ninja.

Following the On Demand success of Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, it’s safe to expect that Scott Adkins’ star will continue to rise. The martial artist/actor already has a supporting turn in Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming Zero Dark Thirty, as well as numerous projects lined up for the future. In the past, Adkins revealed via Twitter that – ironically enough – the movie that his fans most want to see made, Undisputed IV, has been the most difficult to find financing for.

The producers behind 2009′s Ninja have always been eager to develop a sequel, despite the fact that the movie is not particularly well-regarded among martial arts buffs. For example: the film maintains a not-so-impressive 5.3/10 rating on IMDB in comparison to Undisputed III‘s healthy 7.3 rating.

Update: Via an interview with AICN, Scott Adkins reveals that Kane Kosugi, son of the legendary 80′s ‘ninja’ star Sho Kosugi, is likely to have a role in Ninja 2. You’ll recall that Kane starred in many of his father’s films as a young boy, but now he’s all grown up and kicking ass in movies like Blood Heat and Coweb.

Twitch offers this new poster and word that Kane Kosugi is officially playing the bad guy in Ninja 2. | Via Martial Arts Movie Junkie, the word is that Ninja 2 has wrapped its grueling 40 day shoot in Thailand. It’s mission accomplished for director Isaac Florentine and stars Scott Adkins and Kane Kosugi, so now the film heads into post-production. | Scott Adkins and Kane Kosugi posing for a Ninja 2 photo op, courtesy of M.A.A.C.

Special Olympics Regional Bowling Tournament

Bowlers from the eastern part of Idaho came out to participate in the Regional Special Olympics Bowling Tournament.
The event took place at Snake River Bowling Alley and featured 120 bowlers, as well as 60 volunteers.
The best athletes from the different regions are then chosen to go on to international tournaments.
Local program coordinator Terry Kinkead shares why the sport is so fun for participants and spectators alike.
Says Kinkead, "it’s a lifetime sport. I think that's why the athletes like bowling so well, they can do it up until any age. Some have physical impairments besides cognitive disabilities and those that have physical disabilities can also do this."
Special Olympics Idaho offers training and competition to over 2,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities in 15 different sports.
Organizers say it's one of the largest bowling competitions they've ever had with 455 athletes competing in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls. The athletes who competed today could qualify to move onto the state competition. But one thing these athletes know for sure is there's never a winner or loser in Special Olympics.
“Whether they do really well or whether they don't have a great bowling day, it doesn't matter to them. They're here, they’re having fun, it's about creating awareness for Special Olympics and it's about them having the opportunity to compete just like anyone else,” said Director of Development Karen Kraus.

FAST & FURIOS 7 LASTED NEWS

It’s an exciting time for the Fast & Furious series, which is going to be celebrating its 13th birthday when Fast & Furious 7 rides into theaters in Summer 2014.

Not only will the next installment unite the mostly self-contained narrative for Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift with the story covered in the past three films – set before Han (Sung Kang) makes his final trip to Japan – but the steering wheel is being taken over from Justin Lin (the series’ director since Tokyo Drift) by James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious), who intends to drive into gritty 1970s throwback territory (think The French Connection, revisited by way of a Fast & Furious movie).

Part of what makes Diesel a proper action star for the 21st century is both his social media savvy and genuine affection for those around him, which is apparent in the Fast & Furious set images and videos – along with the many earnest inspirational messages and pics – that Diesel posts on a steady basis for the 50 million people that follow him on Facebook. For those who missed it last week, we’ve included one such clip – showing Diesel and martial arts sensation Tony Jaa training hard for F&F7 (and bonding in the process) – in addition to rounding up the more recent set photos posted by the Diesel engine… er, man.
Where else but a Fast & Furious 7 video/image roundup can you see The Iron Giant practice high-flying kicks with the star of the Ong-bak trilogy (Jaa), have a drink with The Transporter (Jason Statham) and hug it out with Rain from Resident Evil/Ana from Lost/Luz from Machete (Michelle Rodriguez)? The way the Fast & Furious franchise has brought together such a wide variety and diversity in talent – on both sides of the camera – is a testament to how, exactly, this series will pretty soon turn 15 years old; and yet, it continues to gain in speed (in terms of box office and cultural relevance). No wonder Universal’s begun planning Fast & Furious 8 & 9, right?
The (surviving) cast from previous Fast & Furious movies are returning in Lap 7 (including, Dwayne Johnson, who’s now confirmed), in addition to the aforementioned newcomers; plus, respectable character actor types like Oscar-nominee Djimon Hounsou and fan-favorite Kurt Russell, in anticipation of Snake Plissken having a larger role in Fast & Furious 8.

Fast & Furious 7 Is Aviable In U.S. July 11th, 2014.
